A recent study highlighted by BBC News reveals that while people in England are living longer, they are also experiencing more health issues. The number of people living with major illnesses is projected to rise significantly, with conditions such as dementia, cancer, chronic pain, and diabetes becoming more prevalent1By 2040, nearly one in five people will have a major health condition, up from one in six in 20191.

This increase in ill health is expected to place substantial pressure on the NHS and other public services. The study emphasizes the need for a shift towards more community-based care and greater focus on prevention to manage the growing demand.

And of course this is exactly why we are here.
