I don't fear much, but I've always feared aging.
Now as I enter my 55th turn around the sun, I'm not as scared as I once was! In fact I'm counting down to my 85th birthday - when I'm classed as the oldest of the old - with the goal to feel the same way I feel now when I get there.
Getting older is a privilege - I'm now going through that life event where but my remaining parent is now in palliative care and life doesn't seem so great. With the knowledge here I'm hoping I can avoid or minimise this stage of my life!
I now believe it's a massive omission that we're expanding our life-spans without expanding our 'health spans' - and I'm happy to say it does look like there are worthwhile ways to expand your active-time into our 90's and maybe even beyond. Blue Zone people at 100 are vibrant and lively (see Proof's page) - that's often not the case outside of these areas i.e. for those who did no longevity work!
If 120 is the theoretical maximum of human age at the moment - why not go for it!
I'm pretty sure some people being born now will break the 150 barrier and it might well become the norm.
What to do now?
Joining our community (Fact of the day is free for a month if you like) is easy and our Starter Pack and Whatsapp community will take you through everything.
I'll be your Guinea Pig (see diary) - & you can take what areas suits you! If cold shower's aren't for you - there's plenty of other alternatives and advice to make this worthwhile!
Why would I do this - well on seeing the result of not trying - there seems little to lose!
So, I try to adopt what I've read and watched!
